Welcome to the 2010 WorkReady Summer Internship Request Form! Please fill out the fields below. Once the completed form is submitted you will receive a confirmation email with next steps and your assigned Business Partnership Specialist will be in contact shortly.

WorkReady’s Summer Internships provide Philadelphia high school students with paid workplace experiences at area businesses for six weeks during the summer. These internships give young people a taste of the working world, exposure to career opportunities, and an understanding of how school is connected to economic success. The 2010 program will run July 6th through August 13th.

	Employers can pay interns between $7.25 and $10.00 per hour. In order to stay competitive among other youth programs and companies, we encourage employers to pay at least $8.00 per hour. Information on Wages and Program Costs

	In order to fully track the interns experience and exposure to different industries with in one company we have created set job titles for the WorkReady Summer Internship program. You do not need to have the job titles identified at this time, but you will need to have the positions identified no less than two weeks prior to your selected interview date.

Interview Information

	Employers will interview candidates before making final intern selection. Interviews will take place at your worksite unless otherwise arranged and will occur between 3pm and 6pm. Worksite Information

*Please select two dates and times for a worksite visit:

All worksites must be visited by a PYN representative prior to the Summer program beginning. A completed Worksite Agreement will be signed and collected at this meeting. For questions about the worksite agreement please contact your Business Partnership Specialist. Worksite visits will take place Tuesdays or Thursdays between April 1st and May 31st. Please identify two dates and times that are convenient for you. The Business Partnership staff will do our best to accommodate one of the two selected dates and will otherwise follow up with additional suggested dates.
